RRP $20 (750ml)
The bouquet is classical Cru Bourgeois Medoc in a cooler year, with suggestions of cassis and plum over freshly polished leather, old roses and autumn leaves.
The palate is still lively and fresh, if a little on the lighter side, with primary plum and berry flavours welcoming the forest floor umami magic of bottle age. Soft tannins, plump fruit and spicy French oak, this is a charming and impeccably balanced wine.
Wine Orbit Review Sept 18 - Barrier Blend 2014 - 86/100 points, 4 stars
The wine shows nicely lifted notes of spiced plum, dark cherry, dried herb and almond characters, leading to an elegantly expressed palate that is supple and smooth. The wine displays sweet berry flavours together with spicy notes, backed by fine chalky tannins, which provide firmness and structure.
